Bikes in Yosemite

"Not fair!" The blond boy yells
while his brunette sister laughs
"I'm older!"  She giggles gleefully
wheels spinning as she peddles

Dust churns as tires spin
Childish arguing is heard
Parents sigh again
"Fifth argument today."

Wood clacks as wheels spin
Water rushes under a bridge
The boy and girl stop
To throw sticks at the water

The camera comes out
the family gathers 'round
Mother, sister, brother
Dad taking the picture

Sweat and helmets
Bottles of lukewarm water
Dusty bikes and passengers
Smiling faces and giggles

Those are the memories
of fun times in the park
of bikes and hikes
of camping with family
